Two women told the BBC they were raped during the filming of Married at First Sight UK, one of Channel 4’s biggest shows, while a third woman alleged non-consensual sexual intercourse.
Channel 4 is indeed a channel with bizarre programs. Married at First Sight UK is one of them, but there are even more bizarre ones, such as Naked Extraction and the wife-swapping competition.
Those participating in this program are most likely doing so for money or expecting to win a significant amount of money at the end of the competition. Contestants on First Sight UK claim they were sexually harassed, but the show’s name itself is “marriage at first sight.” Marriage at first sight naturally implies sex at first sight. The male contestants may have thought, “I fell in love at first sight, now it’s time to have sex.”
We wonder what the contestants understood by “first night.” Or were they all playing a role assigned to them? Was there actually no love or marriage on that first night, but they were trying to give viewers the impression that a serious relationship was taking place?
SPOUSE SWAP
Another bizarre program is spouse swapping. When we first came across it, we felt nauseated within 10 minutes and immediately turned off the channel. Men and women attend a party with their wives, choosing the opposite man and woman to share their spouses.
The husband chooses the man his wife will sleep with, and the wife chooses the woman her husband will sleep with, and they begin having sex. It’s a program based on a spouse swapping depravity that’s not even seen in pornographic films anymore. The husband who brings his wife there wants another man to have sex with her, and the wife wants her husband to be fucked by another woman…
It’s impossible to understand what people expect from a TV channel that presents such depravity as a competition program, other than sexual harassment.
