According to government sources, the use of mobile phones by students will soon be completely banned in all schools in England. The first ban will come into effect in England soon.
Smartphones definitely make children stupid and lazy. They numb their brains. They reduce their individuality and almost cut off their connection with the world. For example, they minimize their interaction with cinema and theater. They cause them to mistake the virtual world for the real world. They stop living for themselves and start playing games for themselves, living the lives of others on social media.
Therefore, the decision to ban phones for children of certain ages is a long overdue one. Parents themselves must also start implementing this decision at home. One of the biggest dangers is the phones and tablets given to children at home. Parents try to relax and have time for themselves by buying mobile phones or tablets for their children in order to control them. While the child is playing with the phone or tablet, the parents start gossiping or engaging in other activities. This is a negative factor for children’s education and upbringing!
The school phone ban should actually be applied at home as well, within certain hours. Or, limits should be placed on children’s access to phones.
