Europe’s NATO allies have opposed the US allegations of threats against Spain. And that’s exactly what should happen! It’s not wise to think of Trump as being solely the US. Trump is the US President, but there’s Congress and institutions that are more powerful than him. Trump acts like a king, but he has lost all credibility in the US. He only has ministers like Hegsert who are sycophants, and they do this to protect their positions.
It’s impossible for all NATO members to unanimously decide to expel Spain from NATO just because Trump wants it. As we said in the previous article, nothing he says should be taken seriously. He should be left to his own devices. His term ends in two years anyway.
Because Trump puts unstable people like himself at the head of institutions, they try to protect their positions by imitating Trump. We need to ignore him and say “Yes, yes.” That’s the best way to get rid of him and respond to Trump. He has no credibility left.
Spain has been using the most correct method since the beginning of the Iran-Spain conflict. “You deceived us in the Iraq war. You said there were chemical weapons in Iraq, causing the deaths of millions and the displacement of countless others across the globe. We will no longer believe those same lies,” Spain said, giving the best possible response to the USA, which has always protected its own interests and threatened its allies at every opportunity, by deciding not to support the war against Iran. This courage of Spain served as a lesson to other European leaders.
Trump has no redeeming qualities. Let’s say it again and again:
The USA cannot leave NATO.
The USA is like a fish out of water without Europe.
Trump does not have the power to make and implement decisions alone within NATO.
