The real question is: Is it a crime to be anti-Semitic or not to be?

In the UK, security forces frequently arrest and imprison people accused of antisemitism. The government, in order to avoid appearing antisemitism itself, particularly supports and encourages this method. Indeed, this fear of antisemitism hangs over everyone like the sword of Damocles. People are afraid to criticize Israel for fear of being labeled antisemitism. Israel immediately retaliates, labeling those who criticize it as antisemitists.

Now we will ask a very radical question, and we want those who read this article, and then everyone else, to answer it. First, let’s remember this: Despite the 15-day ceasefire agreement between the USA and Iran, Israel attacked Lebanon, killing and injuring thousands of innocent people. According to Israel, Lebanon was not included in the ceasefire. Iran and Pakistan say the opposite. Pakistan, which facilitated the ceasefire, says that Lebanon was included in the ceasefire agreements and that the USA accepted this. But Trump, fearing Israel, cannot openly say that Israel violated the ceasefire terms; he lacks the courage. Israel continues to bomb innocent people. This is how Netanyahu maintains his power.

Our question is: Israel, which has wounded millions and killed tens of thousands in Gaza and is accused of genocide, is now applying the same methods in Lebanon. How can people not become anti-Semitic despite such blatant war crimes, massacres, and attacks that clearly constitute genocide? What else can people be but anti-Semitic? How can people feel affection for Israel, which is openly accused of genocide and continues to kill innocent people despite these accusations?

Let’s ask this question to the government and Starmer as well: How can people not oppose a country that kills tens of thousands of people, regardless of whether they are children, women, or innocents? And if, despite all these massacres, people begin to ask this question, who will answer?

To be an enemy of an entire race, to portray them as an enemy, is of course unacceptable. To consider all Jews as sinful and to criticize them is also unacceptable. Many people among them oppose war and genocide. Antisemitism is a crime, that’s undeniable. But being an enemy of other peoples and races is also a crime. Political criticism is important, but committing massacres is not. Supporting massacres is also a crime. Just as being an anti-Semite should be a crime, so should being an enemy of the Palestinian or Gazan people.

While condemning antisemitism, the massacres committed by Israel, which ultimately affect all Jews worldwide, should also be considered crimes. Don’t we have to strike this balance? Just as we have the right to criticize anti-Semites, don’t we also have the right to oppose Israel’s crimes against innocent people?

As we said, the question is ours, the thinking is yours!

Is it a crime to be anti-Semitic, or not to be anti-Semitic?
