Keir Starmer, who visited China for a three-day trip, emphasized upon landing in Beijing that his visit to China would benefit the UK. Developing relations with China, known as the world’s largest market, is a historic step for both China and the UK. Until now, the UK’s choices were determined by its dependence on the USA, and most prime ministers kept relations with China limited to avoid angering the USA.
There are already voluntary slaves in the country who are completely subservient to the USA, constantly pressuring governments to maintain good relations with the US and not deviate from US-defined policies. They demanded that the UK not act independently from the USA, abandon its own policies, and become subservient to the USA. But Trump revealed a truth, and European leaders suddenly faced the true face of the USA. Individuals financially dependent on the USA continue to make statements. One of them said on YouTube, “Without the USA, Europe cannot win wars.” Many people may believe this. But perhaps Europe cannot win a war without the USA, but the USA cannot win any war without Europe. Sometimes there are wars they couldn’t win even without European help. Vietnam and Afghanistan are two examples. The USA derived the legitimacy for all its global policies from European leaders. And its courage too… For example, without Europe, the USA could do nothing against Russia and China. Its power is only enough against defenseless leaders like Maduro.

Closing all doors to China just because the USA wants it would be foolish. If the USA doesn’t start any of its policies with European approval, then no country in Europe can establish trade relations with another country without permission from the USA, it’s that simple.

There’s also the constantly repeated threat from China: ‘China could get hold of the UK’s secret information.’ For example, they don’t say the same thing about the USA because the USA is an ally. Cutting off relations with China because it might access secret information is foolish. All intelligence agencies in the world are the same. Don’t Mossad and the CIA have intelligence agents in China? Don’t they operate in the UK? Doesn’t the UK have intelligence agents in China? If you don’t want China to access your secret information, you control everything, you fill institutions with people you trust. If you’re not a state, you can’t protect your own country with your own intelligence agents. You have to put the right people in the right places. If China is using you, you will use China. We can’t ignore this biggest market in the world just because the US wants us to.
Starmer is on the right track in the UK. Enriching relations with China is in the interest of both countries. If you cut off all relations with a country, you lose all influence over that country.
