The exiled ‘prince’ who called on Iranians to ‘take over the cities’
Reza Pahlavi, son of the last Shah, advocated for civil disobedience and called for the direct takeover of city centers. Pahlavi also announced his return to Iran, but the hope he was hoping for did not come from Trump. Trump, who was expected to attack Iran by the weekend, thanked the Iranian government and expressed his satisfaction with halting the executions. He abandoned the attack and began talking about diplomacy.

So, does Reza Pahlavi have the potential to rally the masses behind him in Iran? 49 years ago, Khomeini organized the Iranian people from France and carried out the Islamic revolution. It is difficult to say that Pahlavi is involved in an organization. He is simply waiting for global powers to overthrow the Iranian government.
Leaders who pass power from father to son only bring disaster to countries. Pahlavi’s father was already removed by a popular uprising. So he didn’t leave behind a very significant Iran. The Iranian people must find and elect someone from within themselves who is open to new and Western values, loves his people, and values democratic values. It would be a tragedy for Iran, one of the oldest countries in the world, to embrace the son of a deposed leader as a ‘Savior’.
