Robert Jenrick, after being removed from his post by the Conservatives due to a ‘party switching plot’, was introduced as a Reform Party MP by Nigel Farage. ReformUK has made another major mistake. Farage, who previously thought he had done something good by taking on Nadim Zahawi, has now committed another of his mistakes by taking on Robert Jenrick, who betrayed the Conservatives.

Jenrick is someone without any redeeming qualities. The only thing that made him important was his position in the Conservative shadow cabinet. Despite a significant drop in recent polls, ReformUK seems likely to lose even more votes due to Farage’s mistakes. What Farage fails to understand is this: someone who betrays their own party can easily betray ReformUK as well. Because what matters here is not the party’s interests, but securing an MP from another party and guaranteeing Pierage’s position.
Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch made the right decision in time by expelling Jenrick from the party and preventing him from seeing himself as a hero. A significant and correct decision on Badenoch’s part. Everyone who has no real influence in the party but fancies themselves God needs to be somehow removed.
We can say that ReformUK’s votes will fall even further after Jenrick. This party continues to recruit right-off figures.
