The Iranian mullahs continue their folly. They first tried to intimidate the protesting public with the death penalty. Those who protest will be executed upon capture. An absurd and foolish decision. The probability of it being implemented is zero. The mullahs, under the influence of religion and power, have lost the ability to think rationally.
Instead of understanding the people, they prefer killing. So far, 100 people have lost their lives. The mullahs will eventually lose power. Like Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad, they aimed to stay in power at all costs, but they cannot withstand further protests. They will either have to leave the country or be lynched by the people.
Meanwhile, Iran has also announced that it will retaliate against US intervention. A country whose people cannot find bread has no real
chance of retaliating against the USA. Trump is not likely to be afraid anyway. An Iran whose generals have even been murdered in their bedrooms should stop challenging the US and choose to understand its people, or the mullahs should leave the country. A country that couldn’t even protect its own generals can only offer the USA a few missiles in response, but those are missiles that are destroyed in mid-air before they even hit the ground. Iran tried this against Israel before and failed.
Leaders who live in luxury while leaving their own people in poverty shouldn’t remain in power.
