Maria Machando’s unrestrained sycophancy towards Trump didn’t work.

Trump was asked whether Venezuelan opposition leader and 2025 Nobel Peace Prize winner Maria Corina Machado could govern the country and whether the USA would support her. Trump gave a very important answer: “Machado doesn’t have enough respect in her own country.” In other words, she doesn’t have enough respect, she can’t govern the country.

Trump has a big ego, but he’s not stupid.

Machado, who constantly flatters and praises Trump, even answered “yes” to the question “Do you approve of US intervention in Venezuela?” on a BBC program.

Someone who asks another country’s leader for help to come to power cannot lead their own country. Despite his high ego, Trump didn’t take Machado’s praise seriously and didn’t recognize her as the natural leader of the opposition.

A leader who constantly says “Come save us” to America cannot be the natural leader of his own people. Actually, Machado didn’t win the Nobel Prize; it was simply given to her. Regarding the award, Trump even said, “If I wanted, Machando would give that award to me.”

So, it seems that superficial opposition leaders don’t make real leaders.
