Is reason a woman experiences violence because she accepts that violence?

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood declared violence against women and girls a “national emergency,” announcing plans to establish specialized rape and sexual offence investigation teams in every police force in England and Wales by 2029.

The UK is one of the most advanced countries in the world in terms of women’s rights. Touching a woman means risking imprisonment. Do women constantly experience violence? There are some, but it’s likely because these women accept the violence as a domestic issue.

England and Wales is a female-dominated society. Women have far more rights than men, and violence against women often ends in prison. To still say that women experience violence, given all the existing rules, is somewhat unfair to men. Are there men who commit violence against women? Absolutely. These women absolutely need to be taught about their rights. This type of violence is particularly prevalent in immigrant families. If a woman accepts violence perpetrated by a man, it could be a cultural acceptance. These women need to be taught that they live in the UK and that their rights are far greater than those of men. Solving this problem with policing methods means not getting to the root of the problem.
