FIFA is completely obsessed with money and is acting like businessmen who dream of getting rich quick. FIFA’s ticket pricing policy was announced on Thursday; group stage tickets are now three times the price of tickets for the 2022 Qatar tournament. The cheapest ticket for the final will cost £3,119. FIFA has lost its balance. It thinks it’s easy to make money from football, but the astronomical increase in ticket prices has even led fans to say that ‘football is being deliberately murdered’.
And the one deliberately murdering football is FIFA itself. FIFA is trying to make money from football. And it forgets that football is about entertainment, and making money should be the third or fourth goal. So where will FIFA put all this money?
