Why aren’t EU countries releasing Russia’s frozen cash to Ukraine?

According to recent news, the EU will continue to extend Russia’s frozen funds. What it should actually do is simple: transfer Russia’s frozen cash directly to Ukraine. At least this would prevent EU citizens’ money from being given to Ukraine as loans, and would also punish Russia in some way.

The EU should actually make a statement saying, “Russia’s frozen cash in Europe will be transferred to the Ukrainian budget. This will somewhat reduce the burden on EU citizens regarding Ukraine.” Can the EU make such a statement? It’s difficult, but at least it should do something and prevent the transfer of money to Ukraine.

While the EU and the USA are transferring money to Ukraine, corruption investigations in Ukraine are also increasing. Zelensky recently dismissed one of his generals and formed an investigative team, but there are dozens of allegations against his wife regarding the lavish spending of foreign funds.
