Someone is lying, but who, Trump or Iran? The White House says the US is “very close” to achieving its goals in Iran, adding that the Iranian regime is looking for a “way out.” However, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says the country will continue to “defend” itself. In a statement to state media, he says there is “no intention of negotiating for now.” Could both be lying?
Trump doesn’t need a reason to lie; he lies almost daily. Are the negative polls starting in the USA forcing him to lie and create a false sense of security? Is he buying time? Even Israel is surprised by Trump’s promise of peace, and it seems even Netanyahu has no idea where or when that peace will come. Trump is clearly cornered in the USA. He also wants to get out of the Iranian quagmire, but he needs to find a reason to make him a hero, but that reason doesn’t exist. Perhaps he’s using Iran to eliminate that reason. If Iran agrees to peace, Trump will have escaped the worry of winning.
Iran is confident. Israel and the USA are on the verge of falling out over Iran, which they believed they could bring down in four days. Trump is isolated in the USA and the world. Just five months ago, he was threatening with tariffs, but today he hasn’t found a single ally. Furthermore, even French leader Macron said, “We cannot act according to the mood swings of an old man; we cannot follow him. As Europe, we must realize our own strength.”
Even the United Kingdom, which blindly supported every war the USA waged, rightly or wrongly, and always lost, refused to support Trump. Trump, however, made everyone laugh by saying, “We don’t need their help. We don’t need NATO either.” Then he asked China and Japan for help, but they didn’t come to his aid.
Trump lacks the ability to think. His ability to shout and lie is always paramount. He used the size of the USA to see himself in a distorted mirror, but the mirror itself didn’t ally him; it left him alone.
The latest polls released by Reuters show that the percentage of those supporting Trump is steadily decreasing. The percentage of those whose economies are improving has also fallen to 25%.
The end of the road seems near for Trump.
