The Western media, especially the UK media, has begun to repeat its classic habit. Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, who received the Nobel Peace Prize and faced much criticism regarding why she received it, is now being portrayed as a hero.

The Western media, prone to creating heroes prematurely, has made a similar mistake for years, portraying many unnecessary individuals as heroes based on a single outcome, and then being proven wrong.
Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado is the leader of the opposition in a country with a dictatorship, and this has transformed her into a hero of democracy. Nicolas Maduro’s cruelty made her a hero in the Western media, helping her win the Nobel Peace Prize. But this doesn’t prove she’s a hero of democracy. Because it’s best to recognize leaders when they come to power, not when they’re in opposition. People in opposition always demand democracy and freedom, but once in power, they are forced to become dictators to avoid leaving. There’s only one way to understand this: societies that produce dictators like Maduro have the least amount of democratic culture.
There’s a premature decision regarding Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado. But it would be best to wait and see her in power before making a decision. However, Western media loves to create heroes and then devour them.
We’ll see.
