The 19th round of sanctions against Russia was implemented by the EU and US. This time, the sanctions are Russia’s major oil companies, Rosneft and Lukoil. According to the simultaneous sanctions announced by Trump and the EU, these two companies will be prevented from selling oil.
Thanks to these sanctions, we learned that the EU and US have announced sanctions 19 times. These 19 announcements have been ineffective. Russia has failed to back down.
So, will the 19th sanction achieve anything? There’s no way to stop Putin. He acts like a deranged leader. He relies on countries like China, North Korea, India, and Turkey, and markets his oil through companies owned by these countries.
In other words, convincing Russia to agree to peace hasn’t been possible with these sanctions, and it won’t be possible in the future. Until the Russian people starve.
