Reports indicate that a high-ranking general in the Russian army was shot and wounded in Moscow. Lieutenant General Vladimir Alexeyev was seriously injured in an attack in an apartment building in Moscow and subsequently taken to hospital. There is no information yet on his condition.
If a general is targeted for assassination in a country where Putin is president, this could be part of an internal power struggle. The domestic intelligence agency, the KGB, may have carried out this assassination attempt. Or, the General’s activities against Putin were discovered, and Putin eliminated him.
Another, more innocent possibility is that the General was targeted for personal or family reasons. If it is not revealed who wanted to kill the General, this could be perceived as a state operation. If an assassination is committed and the perpetrator is not identified, it is 100% certain that the state’s domestic intelligence agency is involved.
What is surprising is that the Russians have stopped killing Ukrainian soldiers and innocents and have started killing themselves…
