Starmer’s situation has turned into a complete comedy. Under immense pressure to resign, even his cabinet has supported him, telling him he shouldn’t.
The people Starmer appointed have no choice but to support him anyway. They know that if Starmer leaves, they will too. Therefore, there’s no logic in the cabinet members supporting Starmer. Their only reason for supporting him is their desire to remain in office…
But even their support won’t work. Time is running out for Starmer. The longer he prolongs it, the harder and more painful his departure will be. A large number of Labour MPs may resign from the party or call for a mass resignation.
There are no irreplaceable politicians in politics. Starmer, of course, hasn’t been a politician who will leave a mark on history. He hasn’t had a clear success since he came to power. He can’t say, “I achieved success by doing these things: I lowered inflation, I reduced unemployment, the number of businesses closing decreased, food and energy prices were brought down, and our growth rate increased.” Why would he cling to power when there’s not even a trace of success to show for it?
