Sometimes we think we shouldn’t criticize the Starmer government, but they never give us that opportunity. Their actions constantly make them the target of criticism. This time, they’ve postponed the 30 local elections in England – which they had announced would take place this year – to next year, citing advice that they might be illegal.

Local Government Minister Steve Reed approved the postponement until 2027, based on concerns from some councils about the cost of running elections for local governments slated for elimination in a major restructuring of local government.
What exactly are these “warnings of illegality” that the government is referring to? Why didn’t they notice these warnings earlier? Doesn’t this government take advice from anyone? Didn’t anyone tell them that this year’s elections in their region might be illegal?
We wonder when the Starmer government will ever do something right. What kind of cabinet is this? Isn’t there anyone among them who understands the state? Does this government constantly twist and turn like a belly dancer? They make a decision, consider the consequences, and all the implications before making it.
Our government makes the decision first, then starts thinking about the pros and cons, and that’s why they always fail.
