The European Union has become a rag. After Trump’s invasion of Venezuela, European leaders, unable to react at all, didn’t even dare to say that it was a violation of international law.
Trump had previously stated that there were no leaders in Europe. Indeed, there are no leaders. Neither France, nor the UK, nor Germany could utter a single word against Trump. Because at every opportunity they followed the USA’s lead and obeyed its orders. These leaders had no opinions of their own. They did whatever the USA told them to do. This has been the case since the US invasion of Iraq. All European leaders were essentially working for the USA’s regional interests. America took everything, including oil, and Europe was left with migrants fleeing the occupied territories.
None of them learned anything. Trump turned them all into puppets. The only thing they could do was pose for photos with Ukrainian leader Zelensky. Even that pose is meaningless. If Trump told these leaders to “Disperse,” they would all fall apart.
European leaders have forgotten their own values. The invasion of Venezuela was an international scandal, but they just stayed silent because they didn’t have the guts to stand up to Trump. One Trump is now worth 25 European leaders.
UK Prime Minister Starmer is the same rubbish. He couldn’t even call the invasion of Venezuela a “violation of law” in response to persistent journalistic questions. If Trump soon sent troops to Greenland, which belongs to Denmark, and annexed it, they still wouldn’t be able to say a word. Even their joint statement was ridiculous; they just vaguely said “Greenland belongs to the people of Greenland.” If there were a referendum tomorrow and the islanders chose the USA, these leaders would be very pleased.
Conclusion: Europe urgently needs a real leader. Even Zelensky is braver than these leaders. At least he was able to act bravely against Trump in the White House.
