Neither Starmer nor Angela Rayner, Labour needs to find another one.

Prime Minister Starmer’s days at Number 10 are numbered. His chances of remaining in office are very slim. He’s still resisting, but resisting is sometimes harder than staying. Starmer will eventually resign and leave office, but his successor is not yet known. The first name that comes to mind is Angela Rayner.

Some media outlets are putting forward Rayner’s name, saying she would be a far more effective and capable prime minister than Starmer, and offering their support. Whether she’s better or worse than Starmer is unclear, but it’s certain that she’s more likeable and appears better to the public. Starmer’s coldness in his face and character has created a definite antipathy towards him among the public. Now he can come out and say he won the election, but he didn’t win; the Conservatives lost. They governed the country so badly that the people finally revolted. But they governed the country for more than 10 years. Starmer and his team became the target of great hatred before even completing two years in office.

Could Angela Rayner be a good prime minister? We’ll say something different. A minister who doesn’t pay the stamp duty on a house he bought cannot be prime minister of that country. After his lie about the stamp duty was exposed, he claimed his advisor misled him, but that’s not true either. You don’t need an advisor to find out how much stamp duty you owe. If you go to any property website and enter the house price, the system will tell you how much stamp duty you need to pay.

Someone who has been openly found to have evaded taxes cannot be allowed to be prime minister of the country. The Labour Party falls into this trap, and they will have to change it soon. The problem isn’t just Starmer, it’s his team.

We say neither Starmer nor Angela Rayner. It’s essential that someone untainted and who hasn’t evaded taxes becomes prime minister.
