An important question: Does Mandelson have an account at an offshore bank?
By appointing Mandelson as ambassador to the USA, Starmer admitted a major weakness, saying, "He lied to us.
Lord Mandelson, a close friend of Epstein who received £25,000 from him three times, has been arrested on suspicion of abuse of public office. Could anything come of this arrest? It’s possible.
First of all, Mandelson must explain why he received the £75,000. When the document first surfaced, he gave evasive answers, saying “I don’t remember anything,” but he can no longer give that same answer. Documentary evidence suggests that the money is inaccessible. It’s highly likely to be in an offshore account. Mandelson wouldn’t deposit money received outside of his salary into a bank. He most likely received it in cash or secured it by depositing it in a tax haven bank.
One of the things the police need to investigate is whether Mandelson had an offshore account opened in his name while he was serving as Ambassador to the USA.
There is no religion or homeland other than money on Earth. Anything is possible, or nothing is possible, but the police have to pursue certain facts. Previously, police searched Mandelson’s home but found nothing and described the situation as a complex case. He stated that more evidence was needed.
Most likely, like Andrew, Mandelson will be released tomorrow to be tried without detention. The possibility of accessing the document after 20 years is slim, but not entirely impossible.
The alleged crime is the same as the one Andrew was accused of: giving classified government documents to Epstein.
The Epstein case had faded from the headlines, but now it’s back
