The world is finally seeing a bribe-taking leader go to jail and be punished. We haven’t seen or witnessed a bribe-taking or corrupt politician go to jail, especially in any of the European countries that call themselves democratic. They were protected in one way or another by other politicians or governments. Despite dozens of allegations against them, they still walk around society as respected politicians.
Nicolas Sarkozy was sentenced to five years in prison for conspiring to finance his election campaign with money from Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi. Sarkozy, who will be imprisoned, will be the first president in France or Europe to be imprisoned. There are no similar examples, not only at the presidential level, but also at the prime ministerial and ministerial levels.
The world is full of dishonest, corrupt, and corrupt politicians who protect each other, and they are constantly protected by similar politicians. Sarkozy’s abscess is an example that European politicians should follow and continue to follow. Similar politicians have always existed in the UK and will continue to exist, but here, those against whom allegations are made are only heard by a parliamentary panel and then released. For example, millions of pounds were circulated for PPE during the pandemic, but it’s merely an allegation; it wasn’t even investigated.
Incidentally, let’s remember that Gaddafi, who provided financial aid to Western leaders, was lynched to death by his own people, again with the support of Western leaders.
