The wife of renowned scientist Noam Chomsky also apologized for the ‘serious mistake’ in their dealings with Epstein. Valeria Chomsky said that Epstein deceived them and that they ‘acted carelessly’ for not thoroughly investigating his past. Everyone started saying they were deceived. Everyone is innocent, and only Epstein, Andrew, and Lord Mandelson are guilty.
But the common point among those apologizing is that they say they were deceived, but the second point is that they don’t say why they were deceived and why they were so easily deceived.
How could Noah Chomsky be deceived? How could someone who teaches the world and encourages people to be wise act so foolishly and be deceived?
The most important thing Epstein’s world showed us is this: all those we consider intellectuals, journalists, scientists, politicians, artists, and those who don’t need money and are rich, are actually no different from anyone on the street… They are all simple people chasing petty interests, thinking only of their own desires, embracing immorality as morality, and seeing closeness to the rich and those who rule the world as prestige.
A Turkish proverb says: “Tell me who your friends are, and I’ll tell you who you are.”
These people, known for their respectability, are actually covered in gilding, and beneath that gilding lies their true character: immorality, vulgarity, greed, hunger, bloodlust, and worship of sex—all the characteristics of ordinary people. Especially since all the deceit they hid has been exposed with Epstein.
Their apologies are worse than their crimes.
