Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson was interviewed as part of the COVID Inquiry. Responding to questions, he said that education during the pandemic was a disgrace. He said that children were in danger, and that was why everyone was angry and furious.
He then hurriedly left, stating that he would not answer further questions. It is unclear whether he will return, be reimbursed, or respond to the committee’s questions.
But let’s say one thing is clear: If there were problems during the pandemic, the primary cause is Boris Johnson himself. First, he failed to take the COVID outbreak seriously. Millions of people, especially from Asia, entered the country unchecked. Precautions were taken too late, and as a result, nearly 65 people lost their lives. He deliberately allowed elderly people, especially those living in care homes, to die.
So, what was Boris Johnson doing while people were dying and curfews were in place? He was partying in the garden with his Prime Minister’s staff. He had nearly 20 parties at that time, and he emailed Prime Minister’s staff to bring their own drinks.
So, if there was anyone to blame, it wasn’t the pandemic, but Boris Johnson himself, yet he was never held accountable. Boris Johnson, who told people not to go out, not to gather together, and to cancel weddings, was holding garden rallies.
