Are there any spies who conduct espionage while adhering to the rule of law?

EXTRA UKNEWS

Scottish Labour MP Joani Reid has said her husband, David Taylor, was arrested along with two other men on suspicion of spying for China. Following the arrest, Reid stated she saw nothing that would lead her to suspect her husband of “breaking any law.” BBC

Broken law and espionage. Joani Reid, in trying to defend her husband, actually said something strange. Are there spies who don’t follow the rules? Does she mean, ‘There are legal spies and illegal ones’?

Where have spies ever followed the rules? What should her husband have done? While spying, let’s say giving classified information to China, should he have applied to the Speaker of Parliament, saying, ‘I’m going to give some important state information to China’?

Do her husband’s crimes implicate Reid? Yes, they do. She may be unaware of anything, but ultimately, her husband has the advantage of easy access to certain information because of her. He can easily access a lot of information that ordinary people cannot. The real question is: If there was real espionage involved, why did Chinese intelligence choose her husband, and what did they give him in return? If they gave him something in return, did he not notice? Or did he not want to notice? Or did her husband work for China for the sake of God, that is, without receiving any money?

Many questions could be asked, but let’s not ask any more and leave it to you. What do you think?
