The Labour Party has pushed the button to raise the retirement age. For men who previously expected to retire at 67, the new age will be at least 68. They will make this age contingent upon certain criteria, virtually eliminating the possibility of retiring before death.

Prime Minister Starmer is in no way a Labour believer, nor does he have a left-wing ideology. He has always been a public servant, with no private life, no understanding of business, and never lived like the people. The Labour Party, a party that relies on the people and derives its strength from them, should not have been led by someone who knows nothing about the people and has spent his life on a salary, but the Labour Party members have found no one better than themselves.
What is certain is that Keir Starmer and Chancellor Rachel Reeves are not on the people’s side, nor do they have an ideology. They are not popular. Even the Conservatives seem to have been much further to the left than the Labour Party.
By raising the retirement age to 68, Starmer has essentially ushered in the era of “retirement in the grave.” Under these conditions, no one will be able to work or pay taxes. Those who have the opportunity have already begun leaving the country. Those who don’t will simply stop working and start relying on government assistance.
