Trump extended the ceasefire in attacks on Iranian power plants by another 10 days, saying “negotiations are ongoing.” In reality, what he means by “negotiations are ongoing” isn’t with Iran, but with his own team. He gathers his entire team together, repeats the same lies they already know, and they hypocritically respond, “Long live the President!”
There are reports that the Pentagon is sending another 8,000 troops to the region, but the Pentagon still thinks of itself as the Pentagon in American movies. They’ll make plans, bomb, send soldiers to capture Iranian leaders and bring them to the USA to face trial. Just like they did with Venezuelan leader Maduro.
The Pentagon, along with Trump, has begun to fantasize and lose touch with reality. They are still comparing Iran to Iraq or Syria, giving Trump false information and saying they will subdue Iran. Let’s say something to the generals in the Pentagon under Trump’s command. Iran is absolutely not an Iraq, Libya, or Syria. Defeating this country with a ground offensive is impossible. Firstly, it possesses the largest land area in the world. Israel and the USA cannot control all of Iranian territory. They might try to seize small islands in the region belonging to Iran, but Iran has already amassed forces in those areas. Those islands are most likely now riddled with mines.
The reality that has emerged from the one-month war is this: the USA will experience a second Vietnam in Iran. The USA, which couldn’t even win against a guerrilla army called the Taliban in Afghanistan and sacrificed 2,600 soldiers, is now facing a country like Iran, with its 3,000-year history of warfare and its unconquered history. Even the Ottoman Empire, which ruled the world for 650 years, despite its strong desire and struggles, could not defeat the Persian or Iranian empires and conquer the region.
There will be new American soldiers here. American families need to put pressure on Trump and not knowingly send their children to their deaths. The USA and Israel can never win a ground war. It’s impossible. They would only suffer losses and flee. A statement from the Israeli army today said, “The army cannot withstand this war.” Trump’s cabinet is full of young people; they lack government experience. They may not even have heard of Iran before. Even if they had, they couldn’t locate it on a map. Their inexperience has made them Trump’s puppets.
After 10 days, Trump will again abandon the idea of bombing power plants and say, “Iran is begging me for peace. They are begging me, not the other way around.”
