COSTA was one of the large companies affected by the economic crisis. Affected by the crisis, COSTA began closing its unprofitable branches.

One of the latest branches to close was its Catford branch in South London. Located on High Street, Costa announced the permanent closure of the branch three weeks ago with a notice posted in the window. Approximately 10 employees were laid off.
So why are companies closing one after another? Costa’s Catford branch closed because Catford is one of the poorest areas in the South. The vast majority of the population lives on benefits. Even if they can afford a £4 coffee, they can only go to Costa once a month. The days of going out for dinner with family are over. The days of going to the cinema or theatre are also over. Now everyone is working to cope with the constantly rising energy and food prices. The South London economy has completely collapsed.
But the government still doesn’t seem to understand this.
